Welcome to Barney's Corner. 

We are a family run business with both an online offering as well as a physical retail shop. Our shop is located in our home town of Leighton Buzzard. Owned by a brother and sister duo; Jamie and Laura set up the business Barney's Corner in late 2024. 

Our shop is based just off the high street in the market town of Leighton Buzzard and we aim to offer every day value for your pet food, treats and accessories.  Barney's Corner really is a family affair and if you shop in the store you will most likely be served by one of the extended family members!

All orders online will also be picked,  packed and shipped by one of the family and as a result we hope we can offer the best possible customer service and advise to our customers.  As a family of pet owners ourselves we understand the challenge of finding good quality products at a fair price. 

Whilst our physical store might be small in square feet terms, we believe our range is mighty! We are adding new products all the time and constantly on the hunt for new and innovative products to offer our customers.

Barney's Corner is named after our loveable rogue Barney.  Barney was owned by Jamie one of our owners and his girlfriend Jenny.  Barney, a chocolate Labrador with a zest for life, was sadly taken far too soon and died at the age of 6. When coming up with name ideas for the new shop it seemed only right to honour him and name the shop after him. Find out all about Barney in our blog.

The shop and website offers a large range of quality products and we have worked hard to source as many of our products from other family run businesses based in the UK.  We spent time researching the products we have chosen to offer and have a keen eye on sustainable products and packaging as part of our selection process. 

Whilst a large part of our range is for dogs, we also cater for cats, small animals including rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, rats and mice aswell as wild birds and wildlife.

What a fantastic find! Reasonably priced, excellent quality food and treats for our pup! Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. So many natural treats to choose from and a great variety of raw meals.

Storm absolutely loves these treats… They smell soooo good to and don’t leave a skanky smell on your dogs breath as some treats do ;-(

Storm properly licks his lips after these and has the most waggy tail even seeing the packet.

Would 100% recommend these and Storm is looking forward to trying the other flavours on our next visit. You can see that’s all his looking at in this picture!

Wow! Wow! Wow!

Storm has NOT left his “Quackie Chan” from the Waddle Squad range alone… He has taken it everywhere with him… This is such an awesome dog toy and so durable. Storm had a tendency to suck toys and this has not disintegrated at all… It is well made and absolutely love the uniqueness of this product. Had so many friends comment on where I got it from. Highly recommend this product for all size of dogs. Storm is a shitzu and it’s good for his size to. 5

Our dog absolutely loves the Cotswold wild range particularly the rabbit and venison! He loves his dinners from Barney’s Corner and we’re very happy with the quality of the raw food from there, both delivered and purchased in store. Super service and will be shopping here from now on!

Lovely, little, well-stocked pet shop. Pablo loves coming in and causing absolute carnage. Great selection of raw frozen food, natural treats, and toys - and even better now they have a website and can deliver locally for free if the order is over £25!

Huge variety for such a little shop. Our dog loves the natural longer lasting treat chews from here, and the bags of her favourite rabbit ears/chicken feet are a hit and really good value for money! Wish she loved toys and beds because they also have some amazing ones in all the time! 10/10 would deffo recommend 👏

We went to check out the new Barney's Corner Pet Shop this morning. My boy loved all the fuss and attention and sneaky treats from the friendly staff. We had a good nose around at all the goodies they have and walked out with a lot of natural treaties. Sully also refused to leave without a new ball. Look forward to our next visits!

Great experience in Barney's Corner today!

Great experience in Barney's Corner today. Popped in to pick up some puppy treats for our pup Douggie and was helped by a lovely lady who advised what he can/can't have at his age. Also picked up a fabulous new harness, we will definitely be back!
